Speaking to the Press and residents in Mwambathaana Location, Yatta sub-conty on Sunday, Mwangangi criticised the decision made by Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi of gazetting the education regulations of placing teachers under the education Cabinet Secretary.

“We will table complaint and Members of Parliament will ensure removal of the CS Kaimenyi if that will ensure education continues as required,” said Mwangangi.

The MP stated that the regulations are on the contrary with the teacher’s agreement with their employers and it has stirred controversy that may lead to strikes.

Speaking to Ikombe residents, Mwangangi also condemned sand harvesting citing that it was a destruction of environment.

“The people selfishly harvesting and selling sand even by using my name are breaking the law, the Yatta canal renovation forum is expected to end this year, when the water is opened and let to flow into the rivers what sand will be left to hold water if the sand selling continues?,” wondered Mwangangi.
