Homa Bay town MP Peter Kaluma has reiterated that he is going to resign from parliament if NASA and Jubilee reach a consensus to form a coalition government to be led by Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to Kaluma, the Jubilee government currently does not represent any ideology that he wishes to see implemented in the governance of the country.
The MP made the remarks in response to claims by Jubilee party that NASA is on course to paralyze the October elections by giving various reforms to IEBC after the Supreme Court accused the electoral body of failing to conduct elections within the confines of the constitution.
"I will not partake of any coalition government led by Uhuru Kenyatta. If NASA gets into a coalition agreement with Jubilee and makes Uhuru Kenyatta the president then I will resign from parliament," said Kaluma.
Kaluma further called on Jubilee to stop alleging that NASA influenced the Supreme Court ruling.
He affirmed that NASA gave evidence in its presidential petition and Jubilee should have done the same if they wanted to maintain their win.
"It is unfair for Jubilee to allege that NASA influenced the Supreme Court ruling. We had evidence in our petition and Jubilee should have provided theirs (evidence) if they wanted their win upheld," added Kaluma.
The lawmaker made the remarks on Monday on KTN News TV during a political discussion.
