Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir has hit out at Deputy President William Ruto for calling Mombasa Governor Hasan Joho an 'academic dwarf'.
Addressing a rally at the Bomani grounds in Likoni, Nassir said Joho might be an 'academic dwarf' as Ruto claimed, but the DP is an 'academic fool'.
"Joho might be an 'academic dwarf', but Ruto is an 'academic fool'. You might think you are learned, but you do not understand issues affecting people. When Joho speaks, he is speaking on behalf of Mombasa residents. The port affects the residents of Mombasa," said Nassir, as quoted on the Star.
Speaking at the same event, Joho said he would not apologise for calling DP Ruto a 'thief'.
"I will not apologise, if you are a thief, you will remain just that. I will not apologise,” he said.
The Rift Valley Council of Elders had asked Joho to apologise to the DP, threatening to curse him if he fails to do so.
