Makau has faulted his opponents for spreading propaganda as we head into the next general elections. The lawmaker said that he has done a lot for the people of the region to warrant such accusations.

The MP, who spoke at Mavoko Primary School in Athi River on Friday where he commissioned two classrooms funded by the fund, termed the allegations are baseless and propagated by rivals who have already sensed defeat.

“Honestly, I have done my best. Some people claim we have been receiving Sh125 million annually for the CDF in Mavoko, which is a lie. Go to the website and Google for the truth. You can also visit CDF offices to verify facts,” Makau said, as quoted by Star.

The legislator, who is defending his post, rubbished the claims saying that Sh348 million he has received as the MP is not enough to buy a chopper as alleged by his opponents as we head to the polls.

“A chopper costs Sh500 million,” Makau said. “Wacheni fitina, hakuna pahali fitina itawapeleka [Stop the malice, it will take you nowhere]. Even if I have a chopper, I bought it with my own money,” he added.
