Kihagi denied allegations by the Naivasha sub-county peace committee saying that he just urged residents  to demand for the truth behind the selling of a piece of land to a power generation company.

He accused the peace committee and the provincial administration of having a personal vendetta against him.

“All I am doing as an MP is to help Ngati farmers know how much of their land was sold to KENGEN because it was done behind the curtains. I have not incited anyone and I will not just keep quite as my people are being victimised. The money that came from the sale of the land landed in the hands of a few greedy individuals and not the farmers,” he said.

“Instead of the so called peace committee investigating the corruption involved in the sale of the land they are busy following Kihagi who is doing his work,” added Kihagi.

Maiella MCA Kariuki Mujing’a who accompanied Kihagi said that the farmers will not stop asking for what is rightfully theirs.

“The real owners of the land were never consulted before the land was sold and that is why they want to know what happened,” said Mujing’a.

On Tuesday the committee had called for the police to investigate and prosecute Kihagi over the allegations of inciting residents to invade a piece of land which was acquired by KENGEN from a group of farmers in Naivasha.
