Kangundo MP Fabian Muli has downplayed allegations that he has crossed over to Jubilee under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the fresh polls.

The lawmaker, who was elected on Muungano Party, has maintained that he is neither in Jubilee nor National Super Alliance (NASA). He has instead asked the residents of his backyard to join in developing the constituency in the next five years following his election into office after a landslide victory.  The politician said that he is not interested in both NASA and Jubilee politics.

He spoke at Kakuyuni Deliverence Church in his constituency on Sunday.

“I am focusing on development issues that will take Kangundo to the next level in terms of development and not NASA/Jubilee politics. Treat that propaganda with the contempt it deserves," said Muli, as quoted by Star.

The lawmaker also called upon the church and other religious denominations to pray for peace as we head to another election following the nullification of President Uhuru  Kenyatta’s  win in August.

“Let us pray for our country so that we have a peaceful presidential repeat election," he said.

Both Uhuru and Raila have hit campaign trails before the October polls.
