Nyali MP Mohammed Ali has denied writing a Facebook post saying opposition leader Raila Odinga is "politically dead".
Ali, a former investigative journalist with KTN television said the post was written by an individual running a fake Facebook account under his name.
According to the lawmaker, the work is an act of cowardice aimed at putting him at loggerheads with the opposition leader.
The post claimed that Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his brother Abu Joho want the MP to treat them like gods adding that they two are pushing for the same with little knowledge that Raila, their leader, is "politically dead".
"Fake news. This is not my post. May God give you bigger brains so that you stop being used by people with small brains to soil other people's names," Ali said while responding to the post.
Ali is a close ally of Raila and other opposition leaders.
The MP has been at loggerheads with Joho since last year during the ODM party primary elections in which he was defeated by Joho's brother Said Abdallah. Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa that you want Hivisasa to cover?
