Jomvu MP Badi Twalib has distanced himself from allegations that he hired goons to sabotage services at the SGR station in Miritini.
This is after Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa put him on the spot over the matter.
Twalib, ODM has pointed an accusing finger at Marwa, claiming that he wants to frustrate him because of his close ties with Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
The lawmaker alluded that any politicians working close with Joho automatically becomes an enemy of Marwa, adding that he is not surprised to hear of the accusations leveled against him.
“Anyone who is allied to Mombasa governor automatically turns to be a threat to him.”
Twalib said, as quoted by Baraka FM. The legislator also said that he is ready to be investigated over the matter, if it is necessary.
“I am ready to clear myself but I urge Marwa to stop his baseless allegations,” Twalib added.
Earlier on, Marwa had claimed that the politician had held a series of meeting with youths from various parts of the county with the aim of interrupting operations at the station.
The regional coordinator maintained that he will not allow politicians who are breaking the rule of law to go scot free.
