Limuru member of Parliament John Kiragu has cautioned parents and teachers enrolling school going children into devil worship that they will be investigated and if found guilty be taken to court to face the full force of the law
Speaking at the Limuru social hall during a meeting on Thursday, the MP revealed that cases of devil worship have reached a frightening level in the area with children as young as 8 years reported to be engaging in strange activities associated with devil worship.
Kiragu has called on the police in Limuru to launch a probe of the case which has brought the attention alleging the culprits are teachers, house helps and parents in our homes.
“Devil worshipping has become a major threat in our society today as children are being lured into such cults unaware by their peers, relatives and teachers to gain riches and popularity”. He said
The legislator has revealed that he has received numerous claims from members of the public pointing out teachers, parents and other members of the community who were enrolling the young generation to the cult and he has already forwarded names to the CID department for investigations.
‘It’s malicious, destructive and unforgivable for an adult to lure a child to cults that they can never come out of in future and this is equivalent to murder” Kiragu quipped.
He claimed that some parents have also openly indulged themselves in the act as a means of getting riches and it’s becoming a plague not only in Limuru constituency but entire nation as well.
The law maker has called on children and youths to be careful with strangers who offer free and doubting services reminding them good deals are questionable.
