Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa and Saboti MP Alfred Agoi have disagreed over the discarding of mobile clinics at the centre of the Afya House scandal.

Marwa on Friday ordered the removal of the 99 containers stored at the National Youth Service in Miritini to pave way for the construction of rehab facility in a bid to curb drug addiction in the region. Marwa said only two of the clinics will be needed in Miritini once the project is complete. “Only two should be left here for the rehab. I don’t care where they will be taken. I don’t want to see them here. From next week [this week] the process of removing them should start,” he said as quoted by The Star.Agoi, however, disagreed with Marwa over the matter, arguing that the mobile clinics will be used as evidence in the Afya House scandal. The MP argued that the court will use the clinics as evidence in the quest to recover millions of cash lost in the health docket. Addressing journalists in Mombasa on Saturday, Agoi said that the removal of the clinics from the NYS yard will complicate the ongoing investigations.
