Earlier this week, Mzalendo.com released a report on the performance of current Members of Parliament and indicated that 49 MPs among them Dr. Gogo, have never spoken in parliament since being elected in August.

The MP has, however, dismissed the report terming it as cheap propaganda.

“Cheap propaganda will not deter me from working towards developing my constituency,” Dr. Gogo was quoted by Kisumu-based Dala FM.

“I am a member of very key parliamentary committees. I am an active member in parliament yet someone comes up with a report to paint me negatively,” she lamented.

She promised to continue working towards realizing promises she made to the people of Rangwe, towards last year’s general elections.

Dr. Gogo was elected on the Orange Democratic Movement ticket. She defeated former Rangwe MP George Oner.

Dr. Gogo, a former University lecturer is among three women elected MPs in Homabay County last year.

The others are Kabondo Kasipul Constituency's Eve Akinyi Obara and Suba North’s Millie Grace Akoth Odhiambo.
