An MP has denied claims that he sponsored youth to write and distribute anti Raila Odinga leaflets in Bondo.
Bondo MP Gidion Ochanda said the claims are an initiative by his political opponents to discredit him ahead of the 2017 polls.
He made the remarks after leaflets suggesting that ODM party leader Raila Odinga will lose the 2017 elections were found scattered along the Bondo-Usenge highway.
He said it was the second time the leaflets were scattered in Siaya County.
He urged the area District Criminal Investigations Officer to investigate the matter.
He claimed that initiators of the move were well known.
"This is the work of cowards," he said as quoted The Standard.
"If they are very sure of what they are saying, why don't they come out and tell the public?"
Mr Odinga comes from Bondo a county where he enjoys massive political support.
