Speaking at Mutomo Chief's camp on Sunday, Nyamai raised concerns over deteriorating security in some parts of the constituency.

The Jubilee MP said she has been receiving complaints over rising crime especially robbery and muggings.

Nyamai asked the police to beef up security and guarantee safety of locals.

"We must adopt Nyumba Kumi and support the men and women in uniform as they work to keep us safe" Nyamai said.

Nyamai who  donated  14 motorbikes to local chief's in the constituency said development can never be realized in an environment that is not secure.

The MP asked the chiefs and local administrator's to intensify the war against illicit brews.

She said trade on illicit brew is rife in the constituency.

Nyamai pledged to deliver on the pledges she made to the residents in the run up to last year's general election.

The government has renewed the  fight against illicit brews and second generation alcoholic drinks across the country.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, two weeks ago, directed  county commissioner's to lead the fight against illicit brews.
