[Photo: Elvanis Ronoh]Kesses Member of Parliament Swarup Mishra has donated 15 Computers worth Sh1.5 million to 15 secondary schools in Tulwet/Chuiyat ward. He said he wants to ensure that students from his constituency access digital learning just like their counterparts in towns. "I am determined not only to computerize our schools but also all institutions across the constituency," he said after donating computers, Saturday."This is a second phase where I am donating 15 computers to Tulwet/Chuiyat secondary schools. I will ensure that all schools in Kesses have computers," he added. He also said that after completing donating computers to schools he will open cyber cafes for youths to access free Wi-Fi across all centers in the Constituency.He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that every child in Kesses constituency goes to school despite his/her financial background.“Parents should ensure that Children who have reached the age of going to school since it is their constitutional right do so failure to which I will take stern actions against them,” noted Mishra.He called upon parents to apply for bursaries from both the county and National government for children from needy and poor background to access education.Kesses Sub County Director of Education Alice Sitienei applauded the move saying it will improve students performance."It will also help us to do away with paperwork and embrace digital record keeping which will guarantee our documents safety," she said.
