Students at the Eldoret National Polytechnic can now access quality basic medical services after the institution's health facility received a donation of equipment from the area Member of Parliament Dr. Swarrup Mishra.

The Kesses MP delivered the equipment valued at Sh1.4 million on Monday and pledged to work closely with the institution in a bid to improve on its services to the students.

Equipment donated will be used at the institutions pharmacy, laboratory and clinic.

"We want this institution to be a fully operational and comprehensive health facility to offer services to students," Dr. Mishra told the press after handing over the equipment.

The Jubilee allied MP also donated 10 computers to the institution and pledged Sh200,000 that will be used to buy chairs and tents for the students' union.

Institutions Chief Principle Josphat Sawe hailed the MP for the donations which be said will help boost services offered at the Health centre.

"This equipment will definitely enable the facility to be able to handle various medical cases and we want to sincerely appreciate our MP for the donations," Sawe said.
