Nyaribari Chache member of Parliament Richard Tong'i has said the petition filed against him challenging his victory is baseless and accused NASA of funding his rivals to fight him.
Speaking on Thursday morning at Kisii High Court during the pre-trial conference of the petitions challenging his August 8 Election victory the MP said he has already tasked his lawyers to look at any evidence provided and follow the due procedures for his case to be applauded."I know NASA want to use any means possible to get more parliamentary seats in the region but that won't work as I'm optimistic that at the end the will of God will prevail," said Tong'i.
The MP is currently facing four petitions filed by his close competitors who were not 'happy' with the outcome of August polls.
Led by Zaheer Jihanda the petitioners argued that the process was marred with irregularities.
