Speaking during an interview on Citizen  TV on Wednesday, the MP elct said that her key agenda is to provide clean water to residents.

She said that residents are toiling to get access to clean water, adding that lack of water has contributed to high poverty levels in the constituency.

Noor said that she has written proposals  to the national government and foreign investors to chip in and help save on the water situation in the constituency and the larger Garissa county.

"My number one agenda as Ijara MP is to ensure that my people have access to clean water," she said during the interview.

Noor said that she will drill boreholes and construct dams to help locals get water.

She urged the county government led by Governor  Ali Bunow Korane to be agressive  and push the water agenda forward.

She said that Garissa people have been suffering for long,  adding that it is time for them to enjoy the fruits of devolution.

The Ijara MP elect pledged to deliver on her mandate once she is sworn into office later today, Thursday, a ceremony that is currently underway.
