Kitutu-Masaba Member of Parliament Timothy Bosire has called on the government to ensure that every Kenyan is entitled to enough security.
Speaking in Tombe Girls’ Secondary School where he gave out money from Uwezo Fund Kitty to various Youth and Women Groups in the constituency, Bosire said that every Kenyan has a right to security adding that many people live in fear following the recent terror attacks witnessed in the country.
He also advised that the State should change how they tackle security issues, claiming that the current strategy the government employs doe not help much to foresee possible attacks.
“Our teachers have suffered in North Eastern from terror attacks and it is the responsibility of the State to ensure this burden is no more because we want development even in North Eastern since it is also part of Kenya,” said Bosire.
The legislator gave out around Sh11 million to the 147 Youth and Women groups that had applied for the funds from Kitutu-Masaba Constituency.
Nyamira County Women Representative Alice Chae who was also present at the function asked those who got the money to use it wisely and return it at the right time.
“I want you to go sit down and think of how best you can invest this money to help develop the nation,” said Chae.
