Former Mwingi North MP John Munuve has asked Wiper Party leader to quit the National Super Alliance (NASA) if he wants to keep alive his 2022 presidential bid.

Munuve, who lost in the August 8 polls argues that Raila will once again ‘dupe’ Kalonzo in 2022.

Speaking to journalists in Mwingi Town on Monday, the former Wiper MP said that Chances of Raila contesting for presidency in 202 are 100 per cent.

He said that the former Prime Minister and his allies have no respect for Kalonzo and will betray him as usual.

“Kalonzo should wake up and ‘smell the coffee’ because from all indications, Raila will be on the ballot in 2022,” he said.

Munuve, who dumped Kalonzo’s Wiper party and joined Jubilee before losing re-election in the August 8 polls, said that Kalonzo’s softness is working against him.

He asked the former Vice President to be firm and fight for his space in NASA before it’s too late.

He claimed that Raila is likely to endorse ANC party Musalia Mudavadi is the former prime minister will not be on the ballot.

Munuve asked Kalonzo to do his political mathematics very well and stop seeking sympathy.

Pressure has been piling on the Wiper leader to quit NASA after Raila failed to clinch the presidential   seat in the 2017 election.

Kalonzo, who jetted back into the country from Germany last week has however maintained that he is in NASA to stay.

The former Vice president has since asked Wiper party politicians to stop discussing his 2022 bid and focus on the current issues NASA is fighting.

Kalonzo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Raila that will see him fly the NASA ticket in 2022.

There have been speculations that Raila could trash the MoU and contest the presidential seat again in 2022.
