Jubilee administration has been accused of planning to reduce voter turnout in the Opposition's strongholds.
According to Mwingi North Member of Parliament Paul Nzengu, Jubilee is using goons to displace residents in his constituency so they may not participate in the repeat presidential election set for October 26.
"The government is using Tana River residents to push my people to the interior of Kitui county to allow them a bigger mass of land to graze illegally," he said, as quoted by the Star.
Nzengu said 10 people have been murdered by bandits from Tana River, accusing the government of laxity in taming banditry.
"The persistent attacks on my constituents are choreographed to chase them away from their homes rural homes and prevent them from voting," the MP added.
Both NASA and Jubilee leaders have been calling on their supporters to turn out in large numbers to vote in the poll next month.
