Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria has called on politicians in the county to focus on serving the people instead of using a lot of time playing petty politics.
Speaking Thursday in his constituency, the MP accused some leaders of engaging in much politics and doing little for the people who elected them.
The legislator noted that it is almost two years since the last general election yet some elected leaders had not settled down to work for the people.
“My appeal is to politicians to put aside their differences and work towards addressing the issues facing Kenyans,” he said.
Gikaria also accused some politicians of taking Kenyans for granted and using them to preach hatred and animosity.
He also accused some leaders of engaging in early campaigns and creating an election mood, noting that such acts could trigger anxiety and cause unnecessary tension among the people.
The legislator stated that he is ready to fulfil the promises he made to the locals and that various projects are being initiated in the constituency.
He said that various projects, including repair and renovation of roads, are ongoing in a section of wards in the area.
