Bonchari MP John Oyioka said his rival John Opore is frustrating his efforts to unite the locals after the divisive poll last year.
Speaking in Bogiakumu area on Wednesday, the MP said he is committed to delivering and no single cent meant for development will be wasted.
“I want to reiterate that no single cent will be used to do personal projects as my opponents are claiming. I was elected to serve the people not embezzle funds meant for development,” he said.
Oyioka noted that he will work all elected MCAs in the constituency to identify development projects that will be given top priority.
“We all contested and residents made their choices, it is time for those who won to deliver. I will work with MCAs in the constituency to initiate projects in each. Allocation of CDF funds will be done with transparency and all wards will benefit equally,” he said.
The legislator called on the former MP John Opore and his supporters to accept that he is the area MP until 2022.
“Elections will be done in 2022, as of now I am the area MP and opponents should wait until 2022 when we will meet again on the ballot,” he said.
