Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has rubbished Deputy President William Ruto’s decision to oppose the constitutional amendments.
According to the NASA affiliated MP, Ruto has no authority to dictate what Kenyans can do and what not to do.
“Ruto has no authority to reject what Kenyans are willing to do. All we want is the constitution be amended and Ruto is nobody to deny that,” he said.
The MP claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta will have no option other than accepting the constitutional changes because that is what they agreed with NASA leader Raila Odinga leading to the historic handshake.
“Uhuru will have no option; he must accept the changes to be made in the constitution because that is what has brought peace in this country after they agreed to work together with Raila," he said.
The vocal MP said the country is bigger than Ruto adding that its time for the country to envisage credible changes.
The legislator assured that his constituents will fully participate in the constitutional amendments.
