Former Embakasi MP Ferdinard Waititu who is among the aspirants in the race for Kabete parliamentary seat has said that the seat requires a non-starter considering the amount of time remaining to the 2017 polls.
Waititu who was speaking in Gitaru yesterday said that there was a lot of work that needed to be done in Kabete. He said that this work required somebody with experience to deliver within the shortest time possible.
"Kabete voters need somebody who can be able to bring development to them as fast as possible. One can only do that if they are used to it. The roads are in dire state and once I’m elected I want to bring the road authorities to the area and start the work immediately,” Waititu said.
Waititu has also asked his competitors to ask for votes honorably without mudslinging and soiling other people's names.
"I would request my worthy rivals to stick to the core business of asking for votes not engaging in propaganda against me that shows how they fear me,” said Waititu.
Other things that Waititu says are at the top of his list of agendas include education, street lighting, fighting alcoholism and infrastructural development.
