Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose has pleaded with teachers especially from his constituency not to be absent in schools during school days.
The lawmaker stated that the education levels in the region are low because most teachers have ventured into personal businesses forgetting their duties.
“Now that schools have reopened for the second term, I wish to urge teachers not only in my constituency but also across the county to remain in schools," he said.
The Jubilee MP promised to allocate CDF funds to improve school structures and provide a favorable learning environment for the learners and teachers.
“Old school structures in schools will be renovated, good toilets be constructed and more desks be bought to serve the increased number of pupils and students who have enrolled in schools. Leaners and tutors need to have a favorable environment to boost performance,” he added.
