National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga is the only person who can save Kenya from poor governance, Kwale Women Representative Zuleikha Hassan has said.
Speaking in Matuga after the Supreme Court nullified the presidential election and called for a fresh poll, the MP called upon Kenyans to forgive the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) over the irregularities experienced during the August 8 polls.
"Let us forgive them, turn a new page and vote for Raila Odinga as our fifth President. Let us go out and campaign ahead of the election to ensure Raila wins,” Juma said, as quoted by Star.
The lawmaker said it is evident most Kenyans are ready for a Raila presidency and urged residents to turn out in large numbers to ensure the opposition chief clinches the seat.
Zuleikha was accompanied by former Matuga MP and Kwale ODM chairman Hassan Mwanyoha.
NASA leaders are now calling for an overhaul of the IEBC, arguing the commission can’t be trusted to conduct a credible election.
“It is now clear that the entire edifice of IEBC is rotten. Clear Evidence shows that the commission was taken over by criminals who run the general election using the technology system and resulted in a computer generated leadership for the people,” said Raila, in a press briefing on Friday.
