Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has lauded police officers in the constituency for intensifying security patrols in the region.

The Wiper Party MP said cases of cattle theft have dropped in the region because security officers are not sleeping on heir job. 

“Cattle theft which was on the rise in the constituency has now dropped and this is because security officers are doing their job as required," he said.

He called on police to investigate claims which has been raised to him that some locals are colluding with thieves to steal livestock.

“Police should launch investigations about the claims that have been raised to me that some individuals are helping thieves to steal livestock," he added.

The second term lawmaker challenged cattle bandits to surrender failure to which they will face full wrath of the law.

His remarks come days after local media reported massive resignation within the police over hefty pay cut being implemented by the government.
