Kimani, who was speaking to the press in his constituency on Friday after he met the kikuyu education trust fund officials said that the two main parties, URP and TNA, merging together shows that the president and his deputy are ready to work together towards one common goal of uniting Kenyans
He said that the party will be victorious, especially where they are expecting to win in the Kajiado central by-election to replace the newly elected cabinet secretary for internal security Joseph Nkaisery.
He said that the party will make sure it builds its roots in the public in order to clinch the leadership in the forthcoming election in 2017
“We are optimistic of winning the Kajiado Central seat and this will be one of the biggest steps towards the success of the new political party. We are glad as the stakeholders of the jubilee government and as members of one of the biggest political party in the jubilee alliance,” said Ichung’wa.
“The marriage which has just been tied knot is showing us the way forward in the step towards uniting Kenyans by our president and his deputy,” added the legislator.
He went on to accuse the opposition of trying to sabotage the government so that they can lose the basis of their campaign in the 2017 election. He said that the opposition should first solve the crisis in their house before coming on to seek dialogue with the government.
