The MP urged his constituents to also give intelligence to the security organs to avert crime.

“I am requesting you to help the government identify the evil elements living amongst you and report them to the police. We need to support our new NIS director general by providing intelligence to the police. In doing that, crime and terrorism incidences will go down,” said Njenga.

He expressed confidence in the newly appointed intelligence chief, Wachira Kameru, saying that Kameru has vast experience in intelligence gathering. He said that the new appointee will be of much help to the country in terms of security.

Kigo who was speaking at Maria-ini, Gatundu North, also trashed the referendum push terming it as a total waste of public resources.

“Let us not be chest thumpers who always want things done our way. We cannot build our country through wastage of the meagre resources we have,” he said.

This comes in as Coalition for Reform and Democracy (Cord), governors and MCA’s continue to push for additional revenue allocation to the counties.
