Kitui South Member of Parliament, Rachael Namai, has on Sunday supported the government move to deport Miguna back to Dubai.
According to the lawmaker, it is a requirement of people to be cleared upon entering any country irrespective of their citizenship status.
"Recently we were in China, we were cleared by the Chinese government and when we came back we were cleared by the Kenyan government. Every time we even go through other countries like when we have to go to Amsterdam we have to pass through security, we have to pass through immigration," said Ms. Rachael.
The lawmaker criticised the act of Miguna of failing to comply with what he was required to do with the ministry of immigration. Miguna failed to fill in forms that would enable regularize his citizenship and word has it that he tore the papers.
"So it is weird for an individual to come to an airport, he is told to get his forms if you do not have your identification documents that is the Canadian passport so that you can just fill a form and he decides that he can not do it," she criticised.
She subsequently supported the deportation of Miguna and also thanked the government for the move.
"So from where I sit I think the government is doing its work. i would like to thank them because we must not just have unidentified males and unidentified females in this country. if people can not identify themselves then they should just go back where they came from," she concluded.
