Kitui South MP Rachel Nyamai has hit out at NASA accusing them of creating political anxiety, tension and suspicion in the country.

According to the Jubilee MP, NASA’s move to oppose the date set by IEBC for repeat presidential election is to blame for the rising political heat in the country.

Addressing residents at Mutumo in Kitui on Wednesday, Nyamai said the country is in an anxious mode, adding that both Jubilee and NASA politicians must help cool the temperatures by preaching unity.

He asked NASA leaders to reason out and allow the IEBC to conduct repeat presidential election as ordered by the Supreme Court.

“The rising political heat is a matter of concern and we politicians must measure what we say and how we say it to avoid creating trouble for our country,” she said as quoted by the Standard.

Nyamai asked Kenyans to remain united and pray for peace.
