Kisauni MP hopeful Ali Mbogo has pledged to spearhead the war against drug abuse if elected in the August 8 polls.Addressing supporters in Kisauni on Sunday, Mbogo said he will push for laws that will eradicate the drug menace, which he said continues to consume young people.The MP hopeful said his leadership will focus on providing solutions to the problems facing locals especially youth, women and Persons Living with Disabilities.Mbogo noted that drug abuse remains a major problem facing youth in Mombasa and the larger Coast region.“My key agenda if elected MP will be to eradicate drug abuse among young people and create jobs for them,” he said as quoted by The Star.The MP hopeful said unemployment in Kisauni and Mombasa as a whole has led to the high cases of drug abuse and crime.Mbogo urged youth and women to support his bid promising to champion their rights. The flamboyant businessman urged locals to remain peaceful and shun politicians who preach hatred in the campaigns.
