Kisii County Women representative Mary Otara has said she won’t contest for any political seat come 2022.
Speaking on Monday at Nyabigege inSsouth Mugirango, Otara said she was elected in 2013 to serve Kisii county residents and asked for re-election in the next general election as County Women representative as she prepares not to contest for any political seat in 2022.
“I urge Kisii county residents to re-elect me in 2017 to accomplish the development projects I initiated in the county but in 2022 I won’t be on the ballot,” said Otara.
Otara said there is an exchange in leadership and she has to show transparency and leave the seat for someone else come 2022.
She also called on Kisii county leaders to work together to promote development in the county to benefit county residents.
“We need to work together as leaders to benefit our county residents,” said Otara.
