A High court has increased the cash bail for Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi by Sh200,000 to Sh500,000 for skipping a session in a criminal case he is accused of forging academic papers.
Milimani Anti-Corruption Court Magistrate Felix Kombo ordered the MP to add an extra 200,000 shillings after the judicial officer dismissed his reason for skipping court.
The court ruled that the legislator was busy campaigning for his re-election as Kapseret MP.
Sudi is accused of presenting forged KCSE certificate from Highway High School and a Diploma in Business Management from Kenya Institute of Management to the IEBC to be cleared to run in the 2013 polls.
