Njoro MP Joseph Kiuna says equity across the eight regions of the country has been a bone of contention pitting the government's drive to enhance proper servicemanship.

He says the new Jubilee Party to be launched in June must be dedicated to equal distribution of appointments of parastatal heads and other government entities.

“The new Jubilee Party which will be a merger of smaller political parties forming the Jubilee Coalition must address concerns about equity mainly on national appointments because there are regions which feel forgotten or sidelined and this may dent credibility and working of the government,” said Kiuna on Sunday in Njoro town.

A section of concerned parties drawn from both the political divide have been expressing their discontentment on how national appointments have been made.

Bungoma Senator and Cord co-principal Moses Wetangula is on the record stating that most of the national appointments have bordered on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Kikuyu and his deputy William Ruto's Kalenjin tribes.
