Suna East MP Junet Mohammed said Wednesday that the Jubilee regime is only linking him to the scandal in order to save its face from the massive corruption that has characterised its existence.

"All those claims that Junet also benefited from the NYS loot is hogwash aimed at diverting attention and saving face by a regime that is characterised by massive graft," he told Radio Nam Lolwe.

He added that he would not be cowed into silence by such claims, insisting that he would always point out the excesses of the government.

Some Jubilee legislators led by Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa have since linked Junet to the infamous scandal arguing that two companies associated with him irregularly acquired tenders amounting to Sh129 million from the NYS.
