Lamu Women Representative Shakila Abdalla has urged National Super Alliance (NASA) principals to endorse Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka as the coalition's presidential flag bearer in the August 8 polls.Addressing supporters in Lamu East on Sunday, Shakila said Kalonzo will send President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee government home if endorsed as NASA's flag bearer. She said Kalonzo is a diplomat who has the political experience to be the country’s next president, and urged Kenyans at large to support NASA in the August 8 polls.Shakila said the NASA government will tackle the social, economic and political challenges facing the country.NASA is expected t to unveil its presidential flag bearer on Thursday this week.Meanwhile Shakila has rubbished claims that Lamu County will vote for Jubilee in the August 8 general election. She insisted that Lamu is not a Jubilee zone saying that the region fully supports the opposition. The Wiper deputy party leader said Jubilee government has not done anything for the county to claim dominance, adding that Lamu is in NASA and not Jubilee as being speculated by some politicians.“Lamu is in NASA and will fully support the opposition in the August 8 polls, claims that the county will vote for Jubilee are mere propaganda that holds no water,” she said, as quoted by the Nation. The Women Rep said the opposition is the only outfit that can address issues facing the county and the larger Coast region. There have been claims that Jubilee has taken over dominance of Lamu County ahead of the August 8 polls.Last month, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho received a hostile reception when he toured the county.
