Despite claims that Deputy President William Ruto had an official appointment with retired President Daniel Moi, Tiaty MP William Kamket has dismissed the reports as 'untrue'.
Instead, the first time KANU legislator and a close confident of Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, says MPs involved in planning of the visit should be arrested for 'embarrassing' the DP.
"You cannot cheat the whole Deputy President to someone's compound without an appointment. That was an embarrassment and organisers should be arrested.
"In fact, going to someone's home without appointment amounts to trespass which is definitely criminal," he said.
Sources say that the DP arrived at Kabarak home at around midday and was kept in the waiting room for hours without meeting the former president.
A statement however released to the press from Moi's home indicated that the DP's visit coincided with Moi's date with physiotherapists.
"Unfortunately, this visit coincided with the time Mzee was undergoing routine physical exercise with his doctors," read the statement.
Conspicuously, Kamket was one of the legislators who welcomed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga when he visited the home a fortnight ago.
After the meeting, the first term MP said Raila could support Gideon Moi's 2022 presidential bid since the topic featured in their discussions.
