A Jubilee legislator says Kenyans will on October 26 confirm that President Uhuru Kenyatta was their choice in the annulled August 8 elections.
The Bomet East MP Beatrice Kones has further told the opposition chief Raila Odinga to be ready to go for a permanent retirement after the repeat poll.
Speaking in Eldoret on Saturday, Kones said President Kenyatta won fairly in the August poll but said majority of Kenyans are willing and ready for the re-run as ordered by the Supreme Court.
"We've a majority of all the elective seats across the country which is a clear indication that Jubilee Party together with our presidential candidate was the choice of the majority of Kenyans," Kones said.
"On October 26 we are going to confirm that President Kenyatta won squarely," she added.
The MP noted that they have been going round rallying Kenyans to come out in large numbers and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta and expressed confidence that he will clinch the seat with more votes than what he garnered in August.
"We want to give Raila a permanent retirement because we are targeting to increase our votes from the 8.2 million to at least 10 million," she said.
