Area residents said the MP has been doing a commendable job since he won the August 8, 2017 polls.

“We can’t regret voting Wainaina because he has proved to be a performer. He has revived the borehole which was abandoned and fixed it for residents to enjoy plenty supply of water from the project,” said James Maina a resident on Monday.

John Kariuki, another resident, said the borehole will not only benefit Matathia primary school but also the entire local community.

He said the MP should ensure water from the borehole is bumped to various homesteads as he promised during last year’s campaigns.

“We want water from the borehole be bumped to all homesteads in the region. Water crisis in the area will be a past tense following the successful completion of the borehole,” said Kariuki.

He challenged Wainaina’s opponents to focus on supporting him instead of opposing and criticizing his development projects such installation of street lights he has initiated in the area.
