Addressing reporters on Saturday in Ruiru town, MP Gathongo said that the move will ensure that investigation is not tampered with.

She stated that corruption has become a big disease adding that it is high time perpetrators faced the law.

“I salute President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive on government officials implicated in graft,” said Gathongo.

The MP said that development is at a threat if corruption is not wiped out from the society.

She asked the government to remain firm and deal with both the ‘Big fish’ and ‘Small fish’ at equal measures.

The Ruiru Member of Parliament further asked the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACCC) to step up the war on graft.

She observed that many Kenyans have been denied access to resources as a result of corruption.

The Ruiru Counstituency Member of Parliament urged Ruiru residents to report cases of bribes or corruption so that the police can act on them as a way of helping curb corruption in the country.

She further urged leaders in Kiambu County to exercise accountability and transparency in use of public resources.
