Ruiru MP Esther Gathogo has lauded the President Uhuru Kenyatta for conducting a Parliamentary Prayer Fellowship ahead of the National Prayer Breakfast to be held on 28th May.

The MP said that it showed humility for the president to hold a national prayer healing against terrorism and that it urged Kenyans to be prayerful in their time of grief.

She said that Kenya was greater than individuals and prayer was the only weapon to fight evil doers and the malicious militants who brought death to the doorstep of the country.

Gathogo expressed her concerns with Kenyan clergy men and women who were only after money and urged them to reconsider their wrong doings.

She has urged the citizens of the country to be aware of fake clergymen and to join the president into prayer to bring national healing to the country.

The legislator urged clergymen and churches across the country to preach peace among churches.  She urged institutions to hold prayerful weekend to fight the terrorists in the country.

Gathogo who was speaking on Wednesday in Ruiru Kambiti village when she offered torches to the chiefs said that security of the country was at stake and that it began with individuals.

The high voltage torches are meant to assist chiefs and police officers in the area to fight against insecurity during night patrol and to tame perpetrators of the heinous act.

She has vowed to keep the region free from crimes and said that she in partnership with OCPD Isaak Thruanira would stop at nothing to ensure that the residents had maximum security.
