Thika town MP Alice Nga’ng’a has lauded the security efforts being taken by the county and the government.

Speaking at Thika town on Monday, the lawmaker laude the police for their efforts in protecting Kenyans during christmas day.

The MP said that security officials were all over a move she said gave residents confidence.

“The government should maintain the efforts it has adopted to deal with criminal groups and their agents,” said the lawmaker.

Ng’ang’a noted that security of Kenyans is important and should be guaranteed at all times.

The MP said that the county has undergone serious threats in the past and that  the government must use all its machinery to protect the people.

Nga’ng’a observed that security is still needed ahead of the new year celebrations and at all times.

She asked Thika residents to cooperate with the police as they work hard to maintain law and order.

The MP said that the public has a responsbility to work with police to curb terror agents and criminals.

Nga’ng’a said that the appoitnment of Joseph Nkaissery as Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) will go along way in reaffarming security of Kenyans.
