The police station will immensely boost the security of Kigaa village, which has been alarming for the past few years, where cases of rape, drug and substance abuse has been the rhythm of life.

Kuria donated a piece of land in partnership with the Kiambu County government to construct the said Administration Police station.

According to the legislator, the construction will take a maximum of six months, where he hopes by July, the station will be up and running.

“By July, the whole construction will be through for the residents to live in peace without fear of their security in the streets,” assured Kuria.

He said that the county government has already donated facilities for the construction to start immediately, and promised the residents that the insecurity issue will be something of the past.

He urged the residents to embrace ‘Nyumba Kumi’ initiative, to fish out criminals from the community.

“Let us embrace ‘Nyumba Kumi’ to help the police officers to serve us in the right manner, but if we do not, security will still be a major problem in the area,” said the MP.

The lawmaker, who was speaking on Friday at Gatundu South, however challenged families who shield criminals for fear of intimidation, assuring them that they have no reason to fear and should instead help stamp out such individuals.

The MP lauded Governor Kabogo for the consistent support in their projects, saying Kiambu will be a safe county due to his admirable leadership.
