A Jubilee MP who is facing backlash over allegations that he endorsed police killings of members of a community in his twitter account has now linked supporters over the woes.
Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa on Tuesday said that supporters of the Nasa coalition were behind the parody account that seemed to suggest that the alleged execution of the members of the Luo community.Speaking on NTV's AM live,the vocal Jubilee legislator said it was evident that some Nasa sympathizers had created the said account going by the username @HonKimaniIChungwa to cast him in bad light and portray him as a tribalist."I suspect the said account was created by supporters of the Nasa coalition to cast me in bad light and to gain sympathy by weaving lies and propaganda towards me", he said adding that no politician is as intolerant to ethnic profiling as he.A majority of Kenyans on Twitter on Monday castigated the two-time MP over the alleged tweet and called for his arrest. The account has however since been suspended.
