A bodyguard attached to Thika Town MP Alice Nga'ng'a died on Sunday in a greasy road accident along Thika Road.
Eliud Muchiri died on the spot in the accident that occurred opposite to Juja police station.
According to eyewitnesses who addressed the Nation, Muchiri was speeding when he drove into avocados that had spilled on the road.
The avocadoes were spilled following another accident that involved a pickup truck.
"The pickup had littered the road with avocados. Muchiri hadn't seen them and thus [he] drove over them making the car he was driving to veer off the road and land into a ditch," a witness said.
His body was taken to General Kago Funeral home in Thika and authorities have termed the accident as normal.
"We are treating this as a normal accident. His body is lying at General Kago but we shall transfer it to another mortuary with the permission of the family," said one his friends.
