Borabu MP Ben Momanyi believe the Maasai community will take a while before getting a replacement for the late William ole Ntimama who died early this month.
Ntimama, the undisputed Maasai kingpin, was buried at his Narok home on Wednesday after many years of fighting for the rights of the pastoralist community.
Speaking on the phone after attending the funeral, Momanyi lauded the fallen hero and urged the Maasai community to emulate the former minister.
“I was a political student of Ntimama and for many years, I observed his way of doing politics that’s why I am so saddened by his demise. He fought with passion for the rights of his people and it’s unfortunate that I didn’t have an opportunity to serve with him in Parliament,” he said.
“His death is a blow to Maa community and it may take some time for them to get a perfect replacement for him. However, I pray that they live with peace and harmony and preach what Mzee stood for,” he added.
Momanyi at some point served as Ntimama’s legal advisor before he ventured into politics and subsequently securing the Borabu seat,
