Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has fired a warning to Deputy President William Ruto over his presidential bid, days after meeting him.
A fortnight ago, Momanyi was among the powerful delegation that paid Ruto a courtesy call where they pledged to support his bid.
On Sunday however, the Wiper MP accused the DP of frustrating handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
"The handshake means good for the country and Ruto knows that. We cannot allow a situation where he will oppose constitutional changes," he said.
Momanyi, who is positioning himself for Nyamira gubernatorial seat added: "If he opposes changes in the constitution, we have no business in supporting him."
For the last two days, the DP has come out guns blazing over alleged secret bid by a section of politicians to initiate constitutional changes.
