Ol Kalou MP David Kiaraho has dismissed Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua’s tour in Nyandarau to popularize his political outfit, Maendeleo Chap Chap. 

Speaking in Mirangine, Kiaraho said that the visit to the region will not change the political situation in any way as the nation looks forward to the next general elections.

Mutua had toured the area to open officers, address leaders and aspirants as well as woo support for President Uhuru Kenyatta as he seeks for defend his seat in the upcoming general polls. 

The MP termed the tour by Mutua and his Meru counterpart Peter Munya, who held separate meetings, as inconsequential.  

Kiraithe said that he has no problem for “those two characters to come to Nyandarua and open offices,” their main goal was to see the county’s beauty.  

Mutua opted to part ways with his boss Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and formed MCC alleging that the party had hatched a plot to rig him out during the next general elections.  

Maendeleo Chap Chap will be fielding candidates in different posts including MCA, Women Rep, MP, Senator and Governor except Presidency during the August elections. Mutua was asked to take a shot at the Presidency in 2022 during his tour in the region.
