A Member of Parliament has told the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) that her rival's supporters attempted to rape her.

During a hearing with IEBC, an emotional female MP said the dramatic incident still traumatizes her.

"Whe he looks at me, I am scared already. I just do not want to look at him,"Kibwezi East MP Jessica Mbalu said.

She claimed that her opponent, Philip Kaloki's, supposrters wanted to rape her after a violent clash.

"The things they did to me, it is bad. His supporters wanted to rape me," she added.

Kaloki however condemned the act and sid had not ordered violence against anyone.
